In a time when critical thinking is increasingly rare, my goal is to nurture
thoughtful readers, writers, and thinkers while also helping students
improve their academic performance. I’m passionate about teaching and committed to supporting students at every stage, whether they’re preparing for high school or advancing through undergraduate studies.
What I Offer
I offer comprehensive, one-on-one English instruction primarily designed for high school students in grades 9–12, with additional support available for 8th graders preparing for high school and undergraduate students enrolled in literature or composition courses. My tutoring covers the full range of writing skills expected in both high school and introductory college classes, including literary and rhetorical analysis, argumentation, research papers, DBQs (Document-Based Questions), FRQs (Free-Response Questions), and synthesis writing.
In addition, I can provide in-depth literature studies across all major genres and periods—from classic and contemporary fiction to nonfiction, poetry, and prose. This includes focused instruction in American, World, Modern, and European literature, as well as classical texts and the works of Shakespeare. I also emphasize the development of essential language skills, offering targeted support in grammar, mechanics, syntax, and vocabulary. With over 10 years of experience teaching all levels of high school English (including Honors and AP), I am well-equipped to guide students through any aspect of their coursework with clarity, depth, and individualized support.
